Happy Birthday Emmy!!
I seriously cannot believe it is 2006. Yesterday was my neice Emily's (aka Emmy) 3rd birthday. Where does the time go? 3 years have flown by so fast it is scaring me. I had a bit of a "convo" on the phone with her yesterday, love it, she was telling me all about her day, her presents, and I'm like 'Emmy, I can't hear you can you talk slowwwwly so Auntie Natty can hear you" and my sis tells me after that she's holding the phone in front of her face like a walkie talkie...nice one. Very cool. Apparently that's the way 3 year olds talk on their mobiles these days...ah technology.
I feeling some crazy-assed emotions about leaving HK and heading back to the "land-down-under", but seeing my neice more often is one thing I am so looking forward to. It's been one of the hardest things ever being over here, so far away from seeing her grow up into this smart and beautiful little girl...ahh. Can't wait to spoil you with the world gorgeous girl:):)
Ah. My New Years' Eve was a little "CRAZY" to say the least, check out the pics below. Classic. 80s party at church, so much fun. Ah. Why did we ever move on from the 80s attire, I mean, it was just so "flattering". Man, there were some attocious outfits. Mullets, spikes, shoulder pads, and that was just Tom...(nice one mate). So it was a fantastic way of beginning a new and exciting year, worshiping God with best friends:) Perfect.
Too funny. Love it. Man am I going to miss you guys...especially my girls:)
CHANGE. I told my kids this week at school that I am leaving, and they pretty much reacted as I had imagined. I tried so hard to prepare their little minds, but never-the-less, they were hysterical. Inconsolable sobbing, to the point of coughing, you know how little kids do that?! :) Ah, it was a mess. 12 or so 7 year old girls spread randomly around the room on the floor balling their eyes out and wailing. My other teachers next door and down the corridor were like "um, what have you done to them?!?!?!" Ah. The joys of "change". So I will be finishing up just before Chinese New Year at the end of Jan, before which I have to mark a year level of assessments and write report cards for 8 subjects! Then finally I will begin sorting my life out here in preparation to make the big move.
That reminds me...I should really book my ticket.
Sunday today...at my friend Tammy's, Anna and I stayed over last night after 180 (Derek & Janice, you guys rocked...loved your message) and had a girly night...full of chocolate, watching 80s movies and talking until...4am. I cannot believe I'm up at 10am. Singing in church tonight...cant wait...lead worship at Youth Friday night, was amazing, then 180 last night and church tonight - ah LOVE IT!!!! I'm gonna miss The Vine so much when I leave. BUT...God has a wicked plan for 2006 - bring it on baby:)
This is us from last year's 180 Tropical Christmas Party...some of the boys' costumes were...interesting...
OK...2006 - no more resolutions, bring on the year of revolution & as I said in my message at Flight on friday the "year of revelaaaaaaaation"!!! Oh yeah.
Stir it up...
