And the point would be...?
Can I just say, what is the point of humidity. Seriously. I cannot seem (apart from the lovely lush greenery I see before my eyes) to see the point of it, apart from to cause complete and utter devastation and torture to all those living under it's spell.
Sorry had to vent. Just over it! I mean I love the temperature, and the fact that for 8 months of the year in HK you can get away with flip flops, but ya know, sometimes I just wish I could build a giant dehumidifier and whack it on top of IFC and just turn it on full ball and just lap up the dryness of it all.
Anyway, I will stop. Apart from that, life is good! Had a massive youth event/dance party at church on Sat night, our second "THIRST" of the year and this one definately superceded all expectations. We had hundreds of kids and young adults acting like psychos and just going sick for Jesus. Love it. The music was phenomenal, I loved being part of it...it was rocking - smoke machine did cause a few coughs in my mic though...woopsie:) But the live music after was so so much fun. Dave and Ephraim the superstars belted out tunes, as did James and I (even sung an original - his music my lyrics...I have been super scared and have been making the most stupid excuses about walking across the "singing my own songs in front of people" bridge for way too long and decided to just do it). Hello. Get over it Nat. So I did. SO fun! It's amazing what God can do when you just put your faith in him. Crazy man.
Then, it was like Chaps-maiiiittttee, the strobe lights began flickin, the decks started pumpin' and the 'rave' began:) Oh moh Gosh maiiiiittteee....it was so cool. He he - well, I mean, it was basically like your average rave, just without some "key ingredients" - quite refreshing actually. So the sweat poured, moves were busted and pics were snapped - will whack them up soon, when I find my cable. Schweeeet.
It was funny, being in amongst all that, the vibe, the lights, the DJ, the same exact house tunes played at any club or party in the world, made me think...what is it really that makes the two environments so different? Interesting.
So tired today though. Ah, I struggled to get up this morning, but once I saw my munchkins, and Toby and Xavier ran with open arms and grinning to hug me, suddenly I was re-energised:) Ah they are so adorable. So not the same little babies I began teaching last September. They are little people now. Speaking, (not always coherent but still) understanding (not always obeying but hey) and when their little eyes light up it is just the most rewarding thing ever:) Toby is obessed with my jewellery, he's a classic, everyday I have a new colour bracelet on and he just grins and goes in for the grab. I dont think I will tell his Dad just yet...
But I yeah, sadly I wont be returning to the old "Sunshine House" next year...just want to do something a little different, I actually have a few things on the cards right now, some projects set up for my return from Oz in mid July. I have a lot of gig contacts now, both musicians, agents and potential entertainees! It's amazing the people you meet teaching in so many homes! So I am currently planning the initial stages of my own music agency. Yup. With all these contacts, it's really just all falling into place. A bit exciting:) Got a few private functions coming up with my crazy talent-freak friends, and I'm gonna use that as a platform to really market the concept.
Sorry if I am boring you all with my crrrrrrrrrrrrrapping on, it's just that I am realising I haven't written for SUCH a long time and there is so much to say! Rah! But hey, the beauty of this thing is you can just jump on whenever and say hi...nice one.
Well it is now 8:28pm and I have had a rather full day. Bed at 3am (dont ask...stupidity) then up at 7, taught this mornin, lunch with my lovely friend Mandy then rehearsal with Sarah for the women's event next week at church which I am co-leading worship for...eek!!! ON GUITAR AS WELL! Ah! Ho scary la!!!!!!
It's funny cos I have never jumped in so many deep ends at such short intervals in my LIFE. It's such an amazing feeling, being stretched so much...
God is so full on. Cant explain it. Love it. AHHHHHHHHHH.
OK...well...I am off now, got more practice to do, see I really am obessesed! HA!
Talk soon k
